The 18th-ranked Franklin & Marshall men's soccer team (9-1-4, 4-0-2 CC) hosts two Centennial Conference matches at Tylus Field this week. On Tuesday, the Diplomats face Haverford (3-6-5, 1-3-2 CC)at 7:00 p.m. F&M will then take on Ursinus (3-8-2, 0-6 CC) Friday at 7:00 p.m. during TrueBlue Weekend.
Last Week
F&M played Lancaster Bible to a scoreless draw Wednesday evening in the Diplomats' final non-conference game of the season. It is the second time this season where F&M has played an opponent to a 0-0 finish, after battling McDaniel to a scoreless tie in late September. Sam Farrell made a game-high five saves. No. 18 F&M edged Swarthmore 1-0 Saturday afternoon. Nathan Schlessinger headed a loose ball into the net during the 69th minute of the match to give the Diplomats the lead. Philip Monos had a team-high two shots on goal. Sam Farrell made five saves in the win. F&M outshot Swarthmore 18-8 in the game. Read the recap here.
Last Time
The 17th-ranked Diplomats defeated Haverford 2-1 in overtime during last years CC matchup. A.J. Kopacz '21 scored two goals in the win, including the game-winner in the 92nd minute of the match. Shay Adamson and Steven Yakita '21 each earned assists in the game. F&M outshot Haverford 11-8 in the contest. Read the recap here.
F&M defeated Ursinus 1-0 during the 2021 season. Two quick yellow cards to an Ursinus forward early in the match gave F&M an advantage as the Bears were forced to play a man down. A.J. Kopacz '21 buried the games lone goal in the 50th minute off an assist from Carl Friedrich '21. The Diplomats peppered the UC net with eight of their total 17 shots being on net. Read the recap here.

The last four games for Haverford have included three scoreless ties against Muhlenberg, Rutgers-Camden, and McDaniel with a 3-1 win coming against Ursinus. Forward Paul-Andre Coulibaly holds the team-lead in points (10) and goals (four). Goalkeeper Dylan Ioffreda has a goals-against average of 1.38 and a save percentage of 79.3 percent.

Ursinus has not won a CC game yet this season, as they are 0-6 against CC opponents. Marco Grenda has a team-high seven points this fall. Grenda and Colin Deal are tied for the team-high in goals with three each. Goalkeeper Kirk Ransome holds a 1.64 goals-against average and a save percentage of 71.2 percent this fall.
