Game Notes

The Franklin & Marshall baseball team (17-11, 4-2 CC) prepares for four Centennial Conference (CC) games this week. The Diplomats begin a home-and-home series at Ursinus (11-16, 3-3 CC) Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. F&M returns to Caplan Field for game two on Friday at 3:30. Franklin & Marshall then wraps up the week with a doubleheader at Muhlenberg (11-13-1, 4-2 CC) Saturday at noon. 

Last Week

The Diplomats picked up three CC victories last week, including sweeping Gettysburg in its home-and-home series. F&M then split its doubleheader with McDaniel on Saturday. 

Franklin & Marshall downed the Bullets 9-5 on Tuesday before completing the sweep on Friday with a 15-3 victory. AJ Desautels racked up six RBI in the two games. He also rocketed a three-run home run during game two. 

F&M went on to split its doubleheader against the Green Terror on Saturday, falling in game one 5-4 before claiming game two, 7-4. Tommy Denlinger tallied four hits in the twinbill. Dan Galef earned the win in game two -striking out eight while not allowing an earned run through seven innings. Read the full recap here. 

Last Time vs. Ursinus

F&M outlasted Ursinus, 8-7, during its 10-inning contest last season. The Diplomats launched five home runs in the win with Spencer Berson and Jakob Hoffman each hitting two. Drew Butera drove in a game-leading three RBI in the victory. Read the full recap here. 

Last Time vs. Muhlenberg

The Diplomats swept the Mules last season by winning game one, 4-1. and game two, 7-2. Kyle Roche claimed the win in game one, striking out eight and allowing two earned runs in seven innings. Greg Neiskens earned the victory in game two with seven strikeouts and no earned runs through seven innings of work. Read the full recap here.

Ursinus Team Preview

Before hosting F&M on Tuesday, the Bears hit the road to play DeSales Monday at 5:00 p.m. Infielder Solomon Griffith leads UC hitting .359 and slugging .467. Griffith also has 16 RBI, eight doubles, and one triple this season. Pitcher Dan Bass has the fifth-lowest ERA in the CC at 2.61. 

Muhlenberg Team Preview

The Mules play a home-and-home series with Dickinson on Tuesday and Friday. Muhlenberg also plays Neumann at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Outfielder Caleb Tereska leads Muhlenberg at the plate, averaging .392 and slugging .581. Tereska also has 18 RBI, eight doubles, and two home runs this spring. Pitcher Jayden Barroqueiro holds the team's lowest ERA at 3.03. Barroqueiro also ranks first in the CC for strikeouts per nine innings, averaging 12.74.
