You have a unique opportunity to get a jump on your career goals. Start getting certified, earning college credit, and taking hands-on class in your JUNIOR YEAR at the new Willamette Career Academy.

You're forever and always a MOUNTAINEER and will still be earning your diploma from FCHS. You'll also still be able to participate in athletics and reap the other benefits of attending Falls City High School. The difference? You'll attend the WCA twice a week to get ahead of your peers in learning high-wage career skills in one of three programs:

• Diesel Mechanics

• Healthcare

• Cosmetology

• Manufacturing/Pre-Engineering

• Construction

• Information Technology Systems

The Willamette Career Academy offers Career and Technical Education in program areas where jobs are plentiful and pay well. Programs are structured for a two-year sequence best suited for juniors and seniors. Students can start their senior year but will not complete all certifications. Despite that they are still encouraged to start their journey with us!

Programs will operate on a half-day schedule at the state-of-the-art facility in Salem and transportation will be provided. Students will still attend Falls City High School, where they can play sports, participate in activities and work towards a regular diploma.

Be prepared for licensure, immediate employment, or continue with further education!

COSMETOLOGY

• Express individual creativity by providing a wide range of artistic hair, nail, and skincare services using the latest technology, trends, and name-brand products.

• Operate and experience a full-service interactive salon and spa environment.

• Work alongside professional cosmetologists to explore all aspects of quality salon services and management.

DIESEL TECHNOLOGIES

• Maintain, repair, and fine-tune systems including electrical, hydraulic, engines, air systems, brakes, and preventative maintenance alongside an ASE Master Technician.

• Use the same advanced diagnostic and repair equipment as Master Technicians to troubleshoot complex diesel systems.

• Practice operation theory, maintenance, and repair of large trucks and off-road equipment.

HEALTH SERVICES

• Cultivate a passion for providing quality patient care in a variety of healthcare settings.

• Work alongside registered nurses and other healthcare professionals in a clinical environment to perform various tests and procedures.

• Experience the thrill and reward of improving patient lives in simulations and on-the-job experiences.
