The academic and career portfolio (K-12 grade) and by using the post-high school planning software Xello as tools to help guide students, families, and staff to plan for post-high school opportunities.
Staff members connect to students by planning authentic learning experiences throughout the middle school and high school years.
Staff continue their professional development each year through the District's Professional Growth Model.
Curriculum Development
The Fall Creek School District utilizes a 6 year cycle of curriculum adoption. The cycles include reviewing/reflecting, research/needs assessment/pilot, adoption/implementation, maintain/sustain, maintain sustain.
This cycle allows staff to fully work within their curriculum before updates may need to be made or addressed.
Content specific mapping is done within all grade levels. This includes: essentials standards, learning objectives, essential questions, unit mapping and focuses on formative and summative assessments. This process also aids in the alignment from 4K to 12th grade.
