Teachers are backbone of the whole educational activity, irrespective of level of the students, school system, college or university education.

Therefore, professional development of teachers cannot be ignored, rather it is the need of the hour keeping in view the changing educational scenarios.

Like other industries education industry is also facing challenges due to influx of technology in the digital era. Understanding & addressing the learning needs of 21st century learners, designing interactive & engaging lesson plans, teaching through technology, dealing with paucity of educational resources etc., are just some of them.

There lies a dire need to improve the current teaching practices, provide affordable yet engaging & interactive learning solutions (virtual/face-to-face) to facilitate teachers especially in under privileged teaching environments in developing countries.
