Changes for 2023-2024 School Year:
If you are engaged in direct service or justice education with a partner agency, and that agency has a fundraising event you would like to support, you can serve at such an event for Core Service credit. Fundraising events should not take up more than 25% of your service requirement. Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Effective IMMEDIATELY, all brown bag lunch programs will no longer be accepted for Core Service. These opportunities have been removed from the Service Directory.
Effective IMMEDIATELY, signing up through the MobileServe event for Sharing God's Bounty at St. Philomene's is required in order to receive Core Service.
User Guide:
This site is a list of organizations where Jesuit students have completed service in the past. They meet school criteria for core service: projects where students are significantly engaged with people experiencing hunger, homelessness, poverty, physical or developmental disability, isolation due to old age or illness, or projects that promote environmental justice.
Please note this list is for guidance and information only, these organizations are not affiliated with Jesuit High School and therefore we have not vetted the organization or their employees, nor will a JHS employee be onsite. Arrangements take place directly between the student and the organization.
Click through the directory according to the category of service - this document is organized by the need that the service agency primarily seeks to address (see page tabs).
Reach out to the necessary supervisor to arrange your service - be responsible in your communication, and remember that you, students, are offering your time in service to the organizations listed below. They do not exist to meet your needs of completing service.
Propose a new site or a new service activity, please submit the Site Proposal Form in advance of the activity.
