Roberts Family Development Center's (RFDC) mission is to provide services to the Greater Sacramento area that meet the individual needs of each family member. Our services provide a holistic approach focusing on PreK-12th grade academic support and enrichment, parent education and engagement, and community involvement and advocacy.

The 4th “R” program is a recreation-based before and after school program on the campuses of 19 different elementary schools in Sac City, Natomas and Twin Rivers Districts. The 4th "R" is looking for high school students who are interested in making a positive impact on their community by supporting elementary school age children with in-person support with homework, recreation enrichment and being a positive mentor/role model for kinder through 6th graders. 

Volunteers must be vaccinated.

MVP is in a self-proclaimed depressed urban neighborhood plagued by street gangs, substance abuse, domestic violence, and a variety of other types of criminal activity. Most of the children have had traumatic/emotional experiences in their short lives. Jesuit students serve as mentors and tutors for students who are working below grade level. Holiday and special projects available to work on.
