The economic value of SDGs-oriented intellectual property rights
The SOCIALIPR project, funded by the State Research Agency (AEI) under project number PID2019-104568GB-100 in 2020 and further supported in 2023 with a new grant PID2022-136532NB-I00, is dedicated to evaluating the accounting and financial values of trademarks and patents by categorizing them based on Social Development Goals (SDGs). The project entails validating algorithms to aid in the classification process and subsequently aims to assess the influence of SDG-related Intellectual Property Rights on firm economic performance.
