Beta club is a national service organization. Students are invited into the Beta Club based on their character and school achievement. The mission statement of the National Beta Club is: "To promote the ideals of academic achievement, character, service and leadership among elementary and secondary school students."
You may be invited to join the BMC chapter of the National Beta Club at the beginning of the spring semester. The earliest you may join is your 10th grade year here at Brashier. To be invited, you must have a GPA of at least 4.5. Your invitation will include an application and a teacher recommendation form, which must be completed and submitted along with your dues by the due date. Upperclassmen who have earned the requisite GPA may be invited to join at this time as well.
The members of the BMC chapter of the National Beta Club are required to complete at least 20 Beta Club service hours per year. These service opportunities range from peer tutoring and food or clothes drives, to volunteering at sporting events and tutoring young students.
The Beta Club is an excellent opportunity to connect with like-minded peers. There is also a yearly scholarship awarded to seniors who exemplify the meaning of being a Beta by the National Beta Club. Additionally, membership in the National Beta Club looks fantastic on a college resume. We also do fun things like social events and even go to conventions!
