fundraising
The fundraising committee organizes money-making events which we typically open up to the entire school. These can be big or small events, and the money will go directly to Beta Club or will be used for future convention dates. Fundraising is one of our biggest committees and often needs help completing these events; the committee may ask for help with sign-ups. This committee is extremely important to the club and its members. Without being able to raise funds, Beta Club would not be able to carry out many of its projects.

Social
Social committee is the committee that brings us all together. We plan events: opportunities for members to be more than just people who meet once per month. We bring the club together and create spaces where members can interact and form important bonds. Social can be seen as “team bonding”. Members are not made to pay for these events and they are typically held during our monthly meetings. The Social Committee is in charge of planning monthly leadership & team-building activities as well as Induction, which we heavily encourage members to attend.

Service
Service is simply as stated. Beta Club is service-oriented and we extend this into the community. This committee is expected to look for needs within our community and address them head-on. Beta Club may extend service projects to the whole school to help create a bigger impact. We offer service hours to Brashier’s student body for participating in our events, if the community chooses to do so. This committee may also be tasked with in-school service projects such as school beautification or holiday decorating. This committee is important to Beta because it allows us to truly impact the communities surrounding us.

Convention
The PR committee is new this year! Committee members are responsible for handling all communications and marketing aspects of Beta Club under the leadership of the Historians. This includes assuming the responsibility of planning Convention, identifying and communicating requirements. They may also work with the fundraising committee to raise funds to cover members’ expenses. This also includes supporting the Historians in their coverage of our club both through social media and through the assembly of the Convention Scrapbook. All members of this committee should be planning on attending Convention or assisting with convention competition prep.
