About me
Hello Wildcats!!!! My name is Sandra Flores, I teach Algebra 1 and love what I do!!! My students and their success is my priority!
My Education:
I have been a part of the Wildcat Family since I was in Pre-K and graduated from Fabens High School. I received my bachelors in 2001 and my masters in 2006. I have been in education for over 20 years and have taught Algebra 1, Geometry, Intervention classes, Algebra 2 and was even a school counselor for a short period of time. Ultimately my heart is in teaching and I hope to do this for much longer.
Interest/Hobbies:
I love PLANTS!!!!! I have over 100 plants at home and my family said no more! So you will find some in my classroom!!
Fun Facts: I have 2 daughters and they are TWINS and yes they do run in the family! My grandpa was a twin. I have a pet turtle named Tortas!! We thought it was a male until one day she laid eggs!

Algebra 1 is the foundation for all upper level math. Algebra 1 is also a state tested subject and students taking algebra 1 will take the end of course exam in May. Passing this test is a graduation requirement.

Any failed assignments can be re-done for partial credit. Tutoring for Algebra 1 is Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30 to 5:30 or by appointment.
The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education.
