This program offers Spanish 101 and Spanish 102, worth 5 college units combined.
Classes run Monday through Thursday mornings from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Expanish Study Center in the Eixample neighborhood.

Laia
Center Director
Laia is in charge of operations at our Barcelona school. She holds a BA in Translation and Interpretation from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and has more than 15 years of professional experience in the industry.
Emma
Program Manager
Emma has a Tourism Bachelor’s Degree from EUTDH and works at Expanish Barcelona in groups coordination and program management. She joined in 2022 and loves supporting students before and during their program.
Lena
Academics Coordinator
Lena is from the US, where she has held faculty positions in Spanish Cultural Studies, after completing her PhD at Stanford University. She enjoys helping students have meaningful and memorable academic experiences in Barcelona.
Cándida
Internships Coordinator
Cándida has a Master’s in Art for Social Transformation and extensive experience in education. At Expanish, she helps students achieve their academic and internship goals abroad.

Agustin is from Argentina and has a degree in Tourism. As Housing coordinator, he supports students with everything related to housing, helping them find accommodation and settle in smoothly during their stay.

Students Services Coordinator (Evenings)
Jessica has a degree in Translation and Interpretation and serves as the Student Services Coordinator (Evening) at Expanish. She supports students during the afternoon hours, assisting them with their questions and helping ensure a smooth and enriching experience abroad.

Cesc
Study Abroad Placement Specialist
Francesc manages the academic program and placement tests at Expanish Barcelona, drawing on his considerable teaching experience, including at a language academy in the UK. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Humanities from the Universidad Pompeu Fabra (UPF) in Barcelona and a Master’s in Teaching.
