Keep your availability up-to-date
As soon as you are booked for a survey:
Review the event description including any attachments
Check for possible flight-mission issues (NFZs, TFRs, GeoZone Locks, etc.) and apply for flight authorization as needed
Check the address
Report any foreseeable issues or inconsistencies to the Site Support Team
Print and/or prepare your checklist(s)
Organize, prepare, and load/pack your tools and equipment
Provide the homeowner with a courtesy call 30 minutes prior to your arrival
If the homeowner does not answer, please leave a voicemail and send a follow-up text
If you still can't get hold of them, knock on the door when on-site and take a photo of the door and address as proof of your presence
In the event of a homeowner no-show, you are responsible for collecting all data for the external/exterior portion of the survey and to report the HO no-show to the Site Support Team
If you cannot make it to site for any (valid) reason, contact the Site Support Team
If it is reasonable we will ask you to contact the homeowner to let them know you can't make it to the survey and that we will reach out to them to reschedule the survey. Do not attempt to reschedule the survey yourselfÂ
Collect all data using your checklist
Check for meter/main combos or exterior electrical panels
If they do not have tamper tags, explore and photograph
Double check attic accessibility, sometimes the homeowner isn't aware they have access to the attic
Be sure to survey all roof structures according to your prelim (attached to the event invite description)
In the case you do not have a prelim, measure any and all different roof structures in the event the measurements varyÂ
If it is an in-depth survey, we require structural so a poke test or drywall cut will be required. Do not leave site without attic measurements
Be sure to create a floor plan whenever required with accurate measurements (for example, if the roof is flat or there is a live-in attic)
If you miss any data for any reason, you must report that missing data to the Site Support Team before leaving site
If you are unable to collect some data, take as many contextual photos as possible to provide evidence as to why
Begin uploading data immediately (all data must be uploaded within 24 hours of the survey)
Check that your data has been uploaded including all photos and your notes + floor plans
If there are any upload issues, report them to the Site Support Team
Revisits are burdensome and costly. It is your responsibility to prevent revisits from happening. We have provided all subcontractors with all the required training and reference material to ensure that the surveying process is as efficient and effective as possible. The Site Support Team is always here to support you and if you ever have any issues please text or call. Otherwise, it is your responsibility to collect all the required and requested data so that a revisit will not be required.Â
The best way to ensure you can collect all the required data is to arrive at your survey prepared. You should have all your tools in the eventuality you may require them. You should have read and understood the event invite description. The better prepared you are, the easier the survey will be.Â
We understand there are unique circumstances that make it difficult to obtain the data. In the case you are struggling to obtain any piece of data, no matter how minute, it is on you to contact the Support Team for help troubleshooting or to report the missing data as unattainable.
Data that is not uploaded within 24 hours of the survey is considered to be missing and/or late. If there is remaining data that has not been reported either while on-site or after the survey after 24 hours the survey will be considered incomplete. Incomplete surveys are to be invoiced for $50 as noted in your MSA.
