Season 1 of Anne with an E is all about developing Anne as a person and finding out whether her future at Green Gables is certain. Season 1 is suspenseful and rocky for Anne as she begins school and faces many challenges. At school she meets her teacher, Mr. Phillips who hates her distinctly and doesn't help with her adjusting to real life outside an orphanage. This causes Anne to be unstable about her future at school and in Avonlea.
Season 2 of Anne with an E is striking. There are many new challenges and characters introduced that cause the plot to go crazy! This keeps the show entertaining and intriguing. In Season 2 Anne gets to know her friends Diana, Ruby, Jane, and Josie better. During this season Anne also gets closer with Marilla and Matthew, doing chores around the farm and becoming an official member of their family.
Season 3 of Anne with an E is by far the most praised season of all! In season 3 Anne meets Native Americans who are faced with much discrimination, Anne befriends one of the Native named Ka'qwet who is taken away from her family to a Christian school and Anne must figure out how to help her family find her. During this season Anne also finds herself mixed in with her feelings toward Gilbert Blythe, a boy she's known since she's moved to Avonlea, which turns into a big deal. It becomes even more of a deal when Anne is heading off to college with all of her friends, and leaving Avonlea for a time. Season 3 is emotional, heartbreaking and most definitely suspenseful. This series is definitely worth watching!
