Amybeth McNulty

In the classic TV series Anne portrays a strong headstrong young lady who turns her experience as an orphan into positivity powering her entire life onward. After finding her forever home at Green Gables with Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert Anne truly finds her place in the world.

R H Thomson

Matthew is one of the most influential characters in the entire series. He convinces Marilla, his sister,  to keep Anne, and he also helps Anne become the great person that she turns out to be. Matthew plays a vital role in this dramatic series and is definitely a fan favorite!

Geraldine James

Marilla Cuthbert is also one of Anne's major mentors throughout the series. It takes her a while to get used to Anne around the house/farm but after she does; her and Anne distinguish an unbreakable bond that serves as support for Anne all throughout the amazing television series.

Lucas Jade Zumann

Gilbert Blythe is definitely an essential character as well. He is an orphan at a young age, similar to Anne which causes a relationship to arise. When Gilbert brings home a friend from working on a ship in Trinidad to support himself, Anne finds herself intertwined with Gilbert and his new family. 

                     Dalmar Abuzeid

Sebastian Lacroix is the man Gilbert befriends while working on the ships in the Caribbean.  He is a brave and strong man that endures a lot during this TV series. He loses his wife, cares for his baby, and faces a lot of discrimination due to his skin color and origin at the time.

Dalila Bela

Dalila Bela plays the famous Diana Barry in this stunning television representation of Anne of Green Gables. Diana Barry is Anne's best friend and her first line for support when she arrives in Avonlea., and though their friendship is everlasting it faces many hardships. Their friendship is often challenged by their different social/financial classes.

Joanna Douglas

Joanna Douglas plays the unforgettable Ms. Stacy. Ms. Stacy is the school teacher in Avonlea and is a great influence for all of her students. Every student admires her and her new, innovative ways. Although, she too, faces challenges because she is a female teacher.

Corrine Coslo

Rachel Lynde is Marilla Cuthbert's best  friend and is also a gossip machine. Whenever something major happens in town  she always the first to know and spread the news whether everyone likes it or not.

Christian Martyn

Billy is one of the "villains" that Anne battles with the entire TV series. Billy never accepts Anne because she was an orphan. He comes from a rich family so he thinks anyone below him is worthless, thus he treats Anne with little to no respect the entirety of the show.

Cory Gruter Andrew

Cole is one of Anne's friends while she is at school, in the one room school house. Anne befriends Cole because Cole is different, he doesn't seem to fit in. Anne helps him find his place in the world too as goes to live with Ms. Barry in Charlottetown Canada.

Miranda McKeon

Josie Pye is one of the other bullies at school. She is friends with Diana and most of Anne's other friends at well, but she also has trouble accepting Anne as an orphan because of their differences in social statuses.

Deborah Grover

Josephine Barry, portrayed by Deborah Grover, plays the inspiring part of Diana's grandmother. Once Anne is introduced to Ms. Barry Anne is immediately hooked, she finds Ms. Barry interesting and understanding of who she is as a person. Ms. Barry also plays an essential role in helping Anne become her true inner self.
