Anne with an "E" is a heartwarming and suspenseful drama about an orphan girl who finds her place in the world. It begins in the small farming community of Avonlea in the late 1800s, with a brother and sister named Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert, who are seeking help on the farm as they get older. They are hoping for a boy but when a girl by the name of Anne arrives they are confused and furious with the mistake. Matthew is more supportive of the idea of keeping Anne than Marilla, at the beginning. Even though it was a mistake as time rolls on Matthew and Marilla finally decide to keep Anne! This is when Anne unlocks her true inner-self and with the help of her new friends and family finds her place in the real world outside of an orphanage and servant houses.
