Aloha & Welcome to 1st Grade in Room 24!

My name is Tiffany Hadden and I am overjoyed to be your child's first grade teacher. Grab your surfboard because it's time to catch the first grade wave!

Let me first begin by sharing more about myself. I am a graduate of Biola University (B.A. '07 & MAT '19). This will be my 14th year teaching and 10th year here at Ocean View. Before coming to Ocean View, I taught Kindergarten at Whittier Christian Schools. I was very fortunate to attend Ocean View as child. It was here, under the guidance of many amazing teachers, that I was inspired to become a teacher myself. I used to dream of some day teaching in the very classrooms I grew up in as a kid, and now I am living that dream!

My most favorite role in life is being “Auntie Tiff” to my two nephews, Hunter and Jaxson, and niece, Jade. I am also a dog mom to my 6 year old charcoal lab, Willow. My first graders six years ago named her for a class data collection project. Willow, my neice, and my nephews keep me on my toes, and my heart filled with so much joy!

I come from a very competitive family which means I love sports. I grew up playing softball, basketball, and volleyball. One of my favorite things to do is cheer on the Dodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers. I am a lover of country music and musical theater puts a big goofy grin on my face. But most importantly, I love my job! I can’t imagine doing anything else with my life.
