Hello Wonders and Families! I am your first grade teacher, Mrs. Sgro. I was born at West Point Military Academy in New York and grew up in Dallas, Texas.  Despite moving to California in high school, I still consider myself a "Texas Girl at Heart."  I got my Bachelor's degree and teaching credential from Cal. State Long Beach  and my Master's from Grand Canyon University. This is my 32nd year teaching - all at Ocean View.  I taught 4th grade for 12 years and this is my 20th year in first grade. I have always wanted to be a teacher and I am blessed to to have been able to follow my childhood dreams.

My husband's name is Randy and he is an avid golfer.  We have one daughter, Elizabeth who graduated from Fresno State and is now pursing her teaching credential. When I got married, I went from being an only child to having 4 sisters. We have 13 nieces and nephews, 3 grand nieces, and 3 grand nephews.  We are a loud, crazy, and fun loving Italian family.  I love to travel. I go to Lake Tahoe every summer with my best friend and our kids.  Since my parents live in San Antonio, Texas, that is my reason to go back as much as I can. 

I am so thankful for the opportunity to be your child's teacher.  I can't wait for all the memories that we are going to make.
