*Operating Levy Referendum: 

EVW is proposing to revoke the current $498.85 per-pupil referendum and replace it with $1,528 per pupil authorization. This increase will be offset by the Seasonal Tax Base Replacement Aid recently passed by the MN legislature resulting in no major increase in existing taxes.  See chart below.  Most households will see a tax decrease.

*Permanent School Fund Amendment: 

An approval vote allows schools to tap into investments dedicated for schools the state already has. It is funded by state land and product sales. There is no additional cost to taxpayers.

The district is proposing to revoke the old levy (column 2) and replace it with a new ammount (column 3) The final column shows the tax implications for homeowners by home value.  As you can see (column 5), a decrease in taxes is expected with a passing vote, this is made possible by the Seasonal Tax Base Replacement Aid.
