East Valley High School is moving toward a comprehensive model of counseling to meet the unique needs of all students. Our program is guided by the America School Counselor Association (ASCA) national model, promoting both comprehensive and preventative programming. Research suggests that when highly trained, professional school counselors deliver comprehensive services, students receive measurable benefit (Lapan, 2012).  We believe that the strongest counseling supports develop when collaborative effort is fostered between students, educators, families, and community stakeholders.
