Students: Please ensure you have a ride to pick you up on time as your activity ends.
Students who do not stay for an after-school activity must have a ride when school dismisses at 2:10 pm. Any student not picked up by 2:20 p.m. will move to the room of a teacher on duty.

Important Information
Archery Practice will start this Tuesday & Thursday, 9/22 & 9/24, from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. Archers must be signed up before they can shoot, and the sign-up info is in the office.

NTI & Company will have a meeting next Monday, September 21st, at 6:30 p.m. at school, along with a Hacienda Giveback Night - flyer is at the end of the Newsletter. Please attend to see how you can help our parent group support New Tech!

Digital Responsibility Reminder for Students: Reminder that LineWize picks up anything concerning that you type or search on your Chromebook. Be sure you are typing and searching only things that are school-appropriate.

Skateboards: Students can leave their skateboards during the day.

New Tech will have a Fall Festival Booth this year, and we would love for you to help! Please click this link to sign up for a four-hour shift. We are Booth 44, and we're selling the Wurst Donut (long john and sausage with maple glaze) along with ice cream floats.

TEENPOWER Teenpower is a club sponsored by Youth Resources of Southern Indiana to promote friendship, leadership, and fun while making healthy lifestyle choices.  Teenpower plans the Talent Show,  a fun and free social event for the school, and a STEM Fest booth. If you would like to help with these activities, come to the first meeting. Our next meeting is Thursday from 2:15-3 in Room 16.  ALL ARE WELCOME!

Juniors - Runway to Results Returns! Join us for after-school PSAT and SAT practice and preparation on MONDAYS & THURSDAYS after school in Room 26 (Monday) and Conference Room (Thursday).

Art Club: Please join us on Thursdays after school from 2:15- 3 p.m. in the Art Room for Art Club!  If you enjoy drawing, creating art, and hanging out with other people who enjoy those things too, this club is for you!  Anyone is welcome!

Student Council meets on Friday mornings in the hallway intersection near the office, 7:05-7:30, to sell healthy snacks as a fundraiser for Riley Hospital for Children. Student Council raises money and collects donations for charitable organizations. If you would like to join Student Council, please let Mrs. Bowden know.  New Tech continues to be a Red Wagon Booster School for Riley Hospital. Thank you for all of your support with our fundraisers! Sales are cash-only.

Science & Engineering Fair Club will meet on Mondays and Thursdays in room 23.

Yearbook Information: Yearbooks are available! If you ordered one, you can pick it up in the office. We also have a limited quantity on sale for $45 cash or check.

Art Room Materials Needed: Do you have old magazines at home?  The art room is working on collage, and we need old magazines!  Any donations would be appreciated.  Please provide only quality magazines with lots of images, and no catalogs, please.  

After-school tutoring is on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from 2:15 - 3:00 p.m., in the office. Please complete this link before 1:30 p.m. on the day of tutoring. If no one signs up by 1:30, we won't have tutoring that afternoon.

Do you love gaming? Want to compete, improve your skills, and represent our school? Join the New Tech Esports Team! Whether you're a seasoned player or just getting started, there's a place for you. Compete against other schools, build teamwork and communication skills, and be part of one of the fastest-growing activities in high school. We will start with Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros. We will meet on Mondays from 2:15 - 3:00 p.m. in the cafeteria. See Mr. Gibson for more information!

New Tech is going to Costa Rica in 2028!!
New Tech will be traveling to Costa Rica June 19-27, 2028.  Join us for an amazing trip including tropical rainforests, beaches, volcanoes, hot springs, waterfalls, monkeys, sloths, and sea turtles!  This will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience!  Cost includes all travel expenses, activities, and breakfasts and dinners.  To get more information and sign up for the trip, follow this link:

Tutoring is available!
Math Tutoring with Math teachers is every Tuesday from 2:15 to 3:00 p.m. in rooms 27 and 28. Peer tutoring with students takes place every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, from 2:15 to 3:00 p.m. in the office. Also, if you'd like to serve as a tutor, please see/email Mr. Gibson.

1). Go to http://evscschools.com.
2). Click on Parent Portal on the left panel.
3). Scroll to find the "Power School Parent Portal" button.
4). Scroll to the bottom and click on "Student Link."
