Students: Please ensure you have a ride to pick you up on time as your activity ends.
Students not staying for an after-school activity must have a ride when school dismisses at 2:10 pm.
Any student not picked up by 2:20 p.m. will move to the room of a teacher on duty.

Thursday: Spicy Chicken Sandwich or Ravioli, Biscuit, Seasoned Potato Wedges, California Blend Veggies, Apple Slices, Fresh Fruit
Friday: Mandarin Orange Chicken, Veggie Fried Rice, Cherry Tomatoes, Oriental Blend Veggies, Pineapple Chunks, Fresh Fruit
We also serve pizza, entree salads, and cold sandwiches/wraps daily.
We serve breakfast every day in the cafeteria.
Important Information
Seniors, be sure to come to Senior Sunrise on Monday, August 11th, at 6:20 a.m. in the parking lot for pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, and to celebrate senior year!

Robotics: Stay up-to-date with everything happening with our FIRST Robotics Team at www.ntithunderbots.com.
Please join us for Art Club starting August 25th after school in the art room! We will be meeting on EVEN Mondays only this year. Everyone is welcome to join us for art and fellowship!
PE Logs: All sophomores and any junior or senior who still need a PE credit can pick up PE logs in the office or refer to the copy below. The first log is due 8/29/25.
You need a Yearbook! Supplies are limited! You can buy one in the office for $45.

Freshman Fun Night is Friday, August 22nd, from 2:15 - 3:30 p.m. Enjoy pizza, snacks, karaoke, basketball, games, and fun! We hope all freshmen will attend!

- Check the tab above for FAFSA, Jostens, and Scholarship information.
- Make sure you have your meningococcal vaccine information turned in. Documentation of all required vaccinations must be submitted to the school nurse by August 8th, the first day of the 2025-2026 school year, when all students report. Please don't hesitate to call the school nurse with any questions or concerns at 812-435-0959. Documentation of vaccines may be faxed to 812-435-8892 or emailed to pamela.hormuth@evsck12.com.

Student Council meets Friday mornings in the cafeteria, 7:00-7:30, to sell healthy snacks as a fundraiser for Riley Hospital for Children. If you would like to join the Student Council, please help us on Friday mornings! New Tech continues to be a Red Wagon Booster for Riley Hospital, thanks to all of your support with our fundraisers! Sales are cash-only; CashApp and Venmo are not allowed.
All students eat lunch in the cafeteria - due to supervision, students can't eat lunch in classrooms.
Wireless Communication Devices: Indiana State Law has banned the use of wireless communication devices in school during instructional time. You can access the policy on the "Wireless Device Policy" tab at the top of this newsletter.

1). Go to http://evscschools.com.
2). Click on Parent Portal on the left panel.
3). Scroll to find the "Power School Parent Portal" button.
4). Scroll to the bottom and click on "Student Link."

Congratulations to New Tech junior Eli Rudibaugh, who earned his Eagle Scout rank with Boy Scout Troop 371! His project involved creating a de-escalation room at Tekoppel School. Way to go, Eli! We're #thunderboltproud of you and your accomplishment.

Ascension St. Vincent student volunteer program information flyer is below.
The Mayor's Youth Advisory Council offers a meaningful opportunity for young people in grades 8–12 to develop leadership skills, collaborate with peers, participate in community projects, and provide input on issues that affect youth in Evansville. Members will meet monthly and contribute to community events and initiatives throughout the nine-month term. Application is available here.
Key Details:
Eligibility: Students in grades 8–12, residing and attending school in the City of Evansville (including homeschool, public, or private).
Term: September 2025 – May 2026.
Application Deadline: August 25, 2025.
First Meeting: Thursday, September 11, 2025.
Available Openings: 12 spots for the upcoming year.
