Want to make a change in our community—or even the world? The ChangeMaker Club is the perfect place to start! Whether you’re passionate about social justice, sustainability, innovation, or helping others, this is your opportunity to turn ideas into action. This club will assist you in developing your idea/pitch to be entered into a competition at the University of Evansville. Who won two years ago?---New Tech Institute. Our two student competitors are now attending UE with a full-ride, renewable four-year scholarship. Meetings are on Mondays after school in room 18.
New Tech's Teen Power Club promotes the TEENPOWER lifestyle year-round through prevention service projects and drug-free activities. Next meeting will be Thursday, November 20th, 2:15 - 3:00 p.m. in Mrs. Long's room.
Student Council meets on Friday mornings in the hallway intersection near the office, 7:00-7:30, to sell healthy snacks as a fundraiser for Riley Hospital for Children. The Student Council exists to raise money and collect donations for charitable organizations, and it is distinct from the student government. If you would like to join the Student Council, please let Mrs. Bowden know. New Tech continues to be a Red Wagon Booster School for Riley Hospital, thanks to all of your support with our fundraisers! Sales are cash-only.
