Get to know The ICE-Indiana Conference

Now entering its 39th year of supporting Indiana educators, ICE-Indiana brings together and celebrates the best of what is happening across the hoosier state in terms of Digital Age teaching and learning. As an International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) affiliate conference, ICE-Indiana helps to connect Indiana’s educators to the world. Our 2-day event in October features inspiring learning opportunities for every attendee, led by some of the most talented educators from across Indiana and beyond, including internationally-recognized keynote and spotlight speakers. In addition, the conference offers multiple opportunities to collaborate with colleagues, education leaders, and technology partners.

In order to better meet the economic crunch that many school districts have felt over the past several years, ICE has implemented some exciting changes, including a more affordable registration cost for attendees. The conference is held annually at Noblesville High School, affording the opportunity to demonstrate classroom integration in context. Hotel and food expenses are also reduced to provide a more cost effective conference experience.

The ICE Conference continues to evolve to meet the ever-changing needs of Indiana educators. As new trends and opportunities develop, ICE responds by bringing today's most relevant topics and innovations to our learners. We listen to our members and design learning based on their needs. This often means that the conference may look different from year to year, but one thing will always remain consistent- our commitment to providing content that challenges, inspires, and equips our attendees to grow professionally and to transform teaching and learning for the Digital Age.

Check us out! The Indiana Connected Educators value collaboration, high-quality resources, and a culture of care. When we gather together, you can be sure to walk away with new ideas and useful new tools and strategies. You will also have had fun and will have found your tribe.

The 2019 Conference

This year's conference focuses on the role of Design in in education. We believe everyone in education is a designer, should see their students as designers, and can use the principles and tools of design to enhance every aspect of teaching and learning. Imagine what we can create when we bring students, teachers, media specialists, coaches, administrators, and community together to learn with one another.

The voices that will gather together at ICE this year will be as varied and passionate as the communities we serve. We will collaborate to look critically at the role that technology plays in our identities and the opportunities that technology offers to elevate our voices and connect us with a wider community of leaders and learners. We will consider how we support our students and our communities as they grapple with the complexities of our information-rich culture. And we will continue to weave together the many strands of our shared community of Indiana educators.
