Parents: Please read the following IMPORTANT message about attendance and the videotaping of lessons. Click to expand and continue reading. Live lessons will be recorded and posted on all teacher's Google Classrooms. The reason for this is to ensure access for all students in the situation that they are unable to attend during the
time of the actual live lesson. If you are uncomfortable with this, then you may choose to turn your child's video off. Our district is asking that if you choose this option that you communicate with me your hesitancy to use the video option. If I do not hear from you, and your child has their video off, I will be asking for video to be turned on to help me in building community in a virtual space and better monitor students. If your child is having a hard time getting used to being on video, please let me know and we can work through it. At the beginning of each live session, we will be letting students know that we are recording the session for educational purposes. Thank you and please let us know if you have questions.
Attendance: We will be taking attendance and will be in contact with you should we notice your child not accessing class. Attendance will be taken every 24 hours to ensure that if your child is able to attend during hours that are inconsistent with the school's hourly schedule, they will still be counted present as long as they are logging in through ClassLink and attending to their education during that 24 hour period. Please report all student attendance to your child's teacher during remote learning, including any sick time or appointments so that we can excuse the absence.
