United States History
In eleventh grade, students have the intellectual and social capacity to deepen their study of history. The context in eleventh grade is U.S. history, primarily the 20th and 21st centuries, from 1877 to the present. Using a deliberative process, students consider multiple accounts of events and issues in order to understand the politics, economics, geography, and history of the country from a variety of perspectives.
