Enterprise Ireland

A-EYE industrial research project is funded by the Irish Disruptive Technologies Innovation Fund (DTIF) under project number 175528/RR. The DTIF is a €500 million challenge-based fund established under Project Ireland 2040. It is managed by the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment and administered by Enterprise Ireland. 

The Disruptive Technologies Innovation Fund is seeking investment in developing and deploying of disruptive innovative technologies, on a commercial basis, targeted at tackling national and global challenges. The fund aims to drive collaboration between world-class Irish research institutions and innovative enterprises. 

Evercam

Evercam offers visual collaboration software for construction project management. They rely on fixed-position AI-driven cameras to capture the passive real-time visuals in construction projects. Evercam's advanced dashboard is rich in visibility tools, including innovative analytics based on computer vision and deep learning models. The advanced technology facilitates project visibility, progress monitoring, data integration with BIM models, and gathering proof of events.


With over 500 cameras live globally, Evercam is currently considered a key player in the fields of Computer Vision and Machine Learning in the construction industry.


Evercam is a lead partner and is responsible for managing the A-EYE project. Their assigned full-time project is responsible for integrating the endeavours of the participating partners to achieve the project goals. Evercam is bringing to the table its strong development team with competencies in Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Video, UX, and BIM, as well as technical operations, camera installs and sensor connectivity, software interoperability and integrations.

Dr. Mark Mulville

Head of the School of Surveying and Construction Innovation, Technological University Dublin.

Mark is An Architectural Technologist and Building Surveyor. He has vast industry, academic, and research experience having been involved in the delivery of construction projects with a value of up to €300 m. Heled the Building Performance Cluster within the Sustainable Built Environments Research Group, University of Greenwich. Mark is a member of the TU Dublin team charged with delivering the Design and Construct Centre in Broombridge.

Dr. Alan Hore

Head of Quantity Surveying, Technological University Dublin.

Alan is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and currently the Head of Quantity Surveying in the School of Surveying and Construction Innovation, TU Dublin. He completed a PhD in Construction Informatics at Trinity College Dublin. He has an extensive portfolio of published work in the discipline area of Construction Informatics. Likewise, he was one of the founders of the Construction IT Alliance and is currently the Principal Investigator on the BIM Innovation Capability Programme (BICP), which is funded by Enterprise Ireland.

Dr. Ahmed Hassan

Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Technological University Dublin

Ahmed is a postdoctoral research fellow in the School of Surveying and Construction Innovation, Technological University Dublin. He is responsible for the communication and dissemination of industrial research to evaluate and develop the A-EYE disruptive solution. He is a PhD graduate specialising in managing construction projects on both corporate and project levels. Likewise, he worked for several construction companies over the past 11 years.

Mr. Ankur Mitra

Research Assistant, Technological University Dublin

Ankur is a research assistant in the School of Surveying and Construction Innovation, Technological University Dublin. He will support the monitoring and evaluation of the A-EYE technology on construction sites, in addition to the dissemination of the research project findings. Ankur has completed his Masters degree in Construction Management from the National Institute of Technology in Karnataka, India. Likewise, he has worked in Larsen & Toubro multinational construction company as a digital construction specialist supporting the implementation of digital solutions to increase construction productivity.
