Helpful Tips For Parents

How can you support your child's Social Emotional Learning?

  • Take a look at the topics covered on the CASEL website, as that is the guide we use to plan our units and lesson. Become familiar with the content so you can talk with your kids about the topics.

  • Students will be partaking in at least one TRAC lesson each week - have conversations with them about what they learned, what they think, feel, etc. Ask them what project they did in class (some they take home, some they continue to work on each week).

  • Check in with your child daily:

    • How are they feeling?

    • What's on their mind?

    • Is there anything bothering them or making them feel upset/uneasy?

  • Take a look at these SEL tips from CASEL
