Welcome back! I hope all had a fun fall break that included time spent with family and friends.  I hung out with this guy and his buddies in the Happiest Place on Earth.  I even ran into a few former students while there!  But now, back to business.  We have just three weeks until winter break and we're going to make the most of it!

Due: Thursday, December 18th, or sooner.  As soon as they are turned in, students will get to share about their tradition.  I'd love to be able to have a few a day to share throughout December.

Directions:

1. Cut out the quilt square

2. Write their name in one of the empty side rectangles

3. Write the title of the family tradition (in their own handwriting)

4. Draw or include photographs for each of the 4 sections: Activities, Food, Decorations, Other

5. Write (in their own handwriting) their favorite thing about this tradition

6. Color or decorate the rest of the quilt square

7. Students can use photographs, stickers, paraphernalia, etc. to decorate.  Be creative!

This is one of the only at home projects we do all year, so please make sure your child takes their time to really make it jazzy and add color.  This should be more than just pencil.  If you need any materials to help jazz it up, please reach out, I'm happy to send some things home.  When I receive them all, I will make a paper class quilt to show off all of our family traditions.
