Pilot and Adoption Information for History/Social Science

All green boxes describe opportunities for parents/guardians of EUSD students to engage in the process.

A committee of teachers review the materials for appropriateness and alignment to the standards. They have been trained to use a rubric for calibrating required elements for adoption.

This LINK will take you to an updated timeline for pilot and adoption. Page 3 includes links to ALL recordings of parent information nights.

Teachers representing all grade levels came together to listen to two (2) program presentations. A representative from TCI (K-8) and Studies Weekly (K-6) discussed highlights of their program. A common theme was teacher autonomy, where singular lessons can be switched on or off as part of teacher decision.

There will be three days where teachers will be listening and reviewing curriculum - August 22, August 30, and September 1.  All teachers have been invited.  But only the C and I Committee (H/SS) will be involved in pilot and adoption decisions.  Any classroom may pilot and provide feedback.
