Note that these schedules are draft schedules but the following are non-negotiables:
All CORE content areas are covered, including some electives.
Daily synchronous instruction and daily asynchronous or learning opportunities will be provided.
Sites will establish the final schedules, with more specific details. Please check with your sites.
Start and end times for EVA and DL will align to start and end times at sites before COVID-19 DL.
The most accurate schedule for each grade span will be displayed on our EUSD website.
For each content area, synchronous and asynchronous time blocks are flexible, enabling teachers to use specific learning outcomes for the day to determine number of minutes for live or synchronous instruction. The schedule for August 13 and 14 has been emailed to you by your principals as both days are minimum days.
Science and History/Social Studies also consist of both synchronous and asynchronous time blocks.
Blocks 6 and 7 may include face-to-face meetings (microclassrooms) for small groups of students in schools for both EVA and DL.
See image below.
Note that both OLY and CAV will follow their regular 6-period schedule. This schedule is up to date starting Monday, August 17, 2020. The schedule for August 13 and 14 has been emailed to you by your principals as both days are minimum days.
The schedule for synchronous instruction will flex as content demands change. Teachers can utilize more synchronous instruction time if the learning outcomes for the day require more time. If you have questions about your child's specific synchronous and asynchronous schedule, your classroom teacher is the best person to contact.
PE and some electives will be offered.
