SYMPHONIC BAND:

UC/CSU A-G area: F-Visual/Performing Art

Symphonic Band is an advanced performance-oriented musical ensemble.  The ensemble will include exposure to a wide variety of styles of band literature designed for the advancement of your musical development and enjoyment.  An emphasis will be placed on developing technical proficiency and the performance aspect of music as well as music theory and history.  In addition to class participation, you will be expected to follow a regular practice routine at home and to attend concerts, festivals, parades, and various school/community events.
