Chris Cox is currently the Music Instructor at Eureka High School. He earned his Bachelor Arts in Music Education from California State University Fresno and a Masters of Music Performance on Trumpet from Ithaca College, Ithaca, New York. Mr. Cox holds a teaching credentials from Washington and California as well as a California Administrative Credential. Mr. Cox has taught music in the Chimacum School District, WA; Fallbrook, CA; Salinas, CA; and in Eureka, CA.
Mr. Cox has a extensive background in teaching music. He has taught elementary general music and beginning band, Middle School Band and Choir, High School Band, Orchestra, Guitar, AP Music Theory, World Drumming and Choir. In addition to teaching music K through 12, he is currently teaching studio trumpet and the University Wind Ensemble at Cal Poly Humboldt, Arcata, CA.
Mr. Cox has kept a busy as a trumpet player. He has performed with the Eureka Symphony, the Northcoast Brass Ensemble, the Temptations, Fresno Philharmonic Orchestra, Fresno Lyric Opera, Ithaca Brassworks Quintet, the Port Angeles Symphony, Port Townsend Community Orchestra, the Turtle Bluff Chamber Orchestra, the Dukes of Dabob Dixieland Band, various Brass Bands, Trumpet Consort vonHumboldt, and was Co-Director of the Port Townsend Summer Band.
Mr. Cox has studied trumpet with Joe Alessi Sr., Ritchie Clendenin and Frank Campos. Mr. Cox is a Past President of the Northcoast Music Educators Association and Past Secretary/Treasurer of the Northern California Band Directors Association, Mr. Cox is a member of NEA, MENC, CMEA, CBDA, CJA, and ACDA.

William Giaquinto is one of the music instructors at Eureka High School. He received his B.A. in music education and B.M. in trumpet performance at California State University Northridge. Mr. Giaquinto holds a teaching credential in New Mexico as well as California. He has served as a music instructor in the greater Los Angeles area as well as Santa Fe Public Schools.
Mr. William Giaquinto has extensive teaching experience serving as both a classroom and private instructor. He has taught elementary general music, beginning band, beginning strings, band, orchestra, jazz improvisation, Western music theory, Balkan brass, taksim improvisation (with an emphasis on Arabic and Turkish makam), and electronic music production.
William Giaquinto keeps busy as a performer, composer, arranger, and producer. In Los Angeles he had the pleasure of playing trumpet with the LA Mambo All-Star Orchestra under the leadership of Bobby Chavez. In addition he played Jazz Manouche extensively with the Vignes Rooftop Revival in the Downtown Los Angeles Arts District serving as a trumpet player and vocalist. In Santa Fe, NM he held a residency at the Tonic Jazz club playing with the house band leading the ensemble in a blend of modern jazz with Balkan Roma, Arabic, and Turkish music. In Santa Fe he also served as the bandleader, arranger, vocalist, and trumpet player of Korvin Orkestar focusing on the brass traditions of Turkey, Serbia, and Macedonia. Mr. Giaquinto also holds a deep passion for beat making and electronic music production.
William Giaquinto studied trumpet with Richard Hofmann, Howie Shear, Bobby Shew, Demiran Ćerimović, Nizo Alimov, and Benji Bloom Rifati. In addition Mr. Giaquinto has studied Alexander Technique with Ethan Kind and Liangong for musicians with Curtis Madigan. Mr. Giaquinto is a believer in the study of body alignment and mechanics in order to manage and prevent pain and mechanical issues that may arise over time with musical study.
