Patriot Theatre
A sampling of research that shows that the arts are the key to our students' success. Students who participate in VAPA classes do better academically, socially, emotionally and eventually, economically. In schools where arts education is a core part of the experience, there are significant increases in student attendance, lower disciplinary rates, improved staff retention, increased parent participation, improved graduation rates, as well as more well-rounded children and adults.
Field Trip! Stagecraft and Drama students had the opportunity to the Old Globe Theatre to see The Importance of Being Earnest.

No surprises here! According to a recent Washington Post article:
"The seven top characteristics of success at Google are all soft skills: being a good coach; communicating and listening well; possessing insights into others (including others different values and points of view); having empathy toward and being supportive of one’s colleagues; being a good critical thinker and problem solver; and being able to make connections across complex ideas.
Those traits sound more like what one gains as an English or theater major than as a programmer."

Thanks to everyone who joined us last night for “Under the Same Sky.” Keep up the conversation about immigration and DACA. #bigbluesky #PatriotTheatre #immigrantswegetthejobdone
Patriot Theatre is proud to present Under the Same Sky: Exploring Immigration and the American Dream on December 8th at 7:00 in the Orange Glen High School Performing Arts Center. Our Drama and Stagecraft students share their stories of hope and explore issues surrounding immigration, and chasing the American Dream.
