MONDAY: Gathering
Mini-Gathering: One-Word Whip
What is something you enjoyed about spring break?
Gathering: Storytelling Connections
One person holds a plush for tossing (Either Rusty the Red Panda or Snoop Dogg the Seal), and begins by talking about an experience from their past. For this first story, focus on something you did over spring break.
The speaker will continue to share until another student hears something that they connect to in some way, and raises their hand. This connection does not have to be related to spring break.
When a hand is raised, the speaker will wrap up their current thought (quickly!), and then toss the plush to the raised hand.
The student who now has the plush will share the connection they made, and continue to talk about their connection and other experiences until another student is ready to connect and raises their hand.
Repeat!

As you are doing the CCR Reflection, I will go around to each student and fill it out with them one on one to ensure they are still enrolled in the necessary year long classes.
Addie will be briefly going over this in town hall. It is important that students know the requirements for being College and Career ready, and working toward doing so. Start by answering the reflection questions on the back. From there, track your current progress in the reflection. At POLs, you will share this with parents addressing where you are now and what you are doing to address areas of growth.

Go Around: Goal Review | Fist to Five
What was your goal, and how well did you do with your goal from last week?
0 = I forgot about it, and didn't even make accidental progress.
5 = Amazing! I should probably start a new goal this week.
Share your response, and support it.
(Ex: My goal is to keep my backpack more organized. I chose a 3, because I took out everything that I don't need, but it's full of new things I don't need.)
Independent Work:
Select two boxes on the back to reflect with.
Check Skyward and update your grade tracker.
OR
Start a new SMART Goal sheet. Goals should be long term (3-4 weeks), and focused on building or changing habits and routines rather than completing tasks.
Goal Feedback/Suggestions:
Every student should have a goal partner.
Teachers should assign partners to ensure that everyone has a partner, but it may be beneficial for students to have some voice in who they are working with.
Once partnered up, students should discuss their goals, and offer suggestions to each other to help a goal be successful.
Ticket Out: Verbal
What was the best suggestion you received today?

GATHERING: Name Juggle
DIRECTIONS:
We’re going to establish a pattern of tossing and catching the object. I will say a student’s name and then toss the object underhand to her. That student will then say another student’s name and toss the object to him. You need to remember who tossed the object to you and who you tossed the object to. You will always catch the object from the same person and always throw to the same person. We will do this a couple of times using one object to establish the pattern. After you have practiced with one object then introduce another object. The goal is to see how many objects you can juggle. Last time, you managed 3 objects. Let’s see if we can beat that!

(What do you do in your free time? What can you spend an evening reading about, or watching videos about? What do you discuss with friends?)
CONNECT: Post-It Note
How can you connect one (or more) of your interests with future plans? What are your future plans? (Write this down on the post-it, and keep in your binder.)
