Homework

Weekly Homework

For this school year, the first grade team has decided to not have homework. We would like the students to use the time outside of school to dive into their interests. Please use this time to be together as a family! There may be times where I will tell the students to discuss a topic with their families or find something in their homes that relates to a topic in school. If your child is not completing his/her work in the classroom, it may be sent home to be finished as homework. I will be sure to notify you if this needs to happen. If I see that your child could benefit from extra practice and/or needs enhancement, I'll be sure to contact you and give you the resources needed.

Reading Logs

The students are expected to read at least 10 minutes a night. They may read their library books and/or books from home. Adults or other fluent readers may read those books aloud. Parents/Guardians will need to initial one paw print for each day their children have read or listened to a book. Reading logs are due every Monday. If your child's reading log cannot be found, you may download and print a copy from the link below.
