The Evanston City Council also passed Resolution 93-R-25 (Prohibiting the Use of City of Evanston Property for Federal Civil Immigration Enforcement Operations and Providing Direction on Implementation of the Welcoming City Ordinance), on Monday, October 20.

The TRP Immigrant Justice Initiative serves as a trusted resource hub, keeping immigrant communities informed and empowered during challenging times. Through workshops, legal services, and advocacy, we provide critical support to navigate complex immigration issues, defend rights, and promote engagement. Our mission is to ensure every immigrant has access to trusted guidance and a voice in shaping a just future.
Centro Romero is a community-based organization on Chicago’s North Side that supports immigrant and refugee families through legal aid, education, and youth programs. They offer affordable immigration legal services, including assistance with DACA, citizenship, and family petitions, as well as ESL and citizenship classes. Their youth program provides tutoring, mentoring, and leadership opportunities for immigrant and refugee students.

Y.O.U. offers free, comprehensive counseling services for youth & families. Mental Health Services are integrated into Y.O.U.s Out-of-School Time Program for youth in grades 2-12, as well as delivered through a community-based street outreach model at locations where youth gather across our community.
