What do I do about attendance?
You will take attendance in TAC based on student participation in asynchronous e-Learning activities such as forms, assignments, activities, etc. that are completed on the e-Learning day by 11:59pm. We recommend building in some sort of check-in via an exit slip, Classroom assignment, or other easily trackable method to make taking attendance quick and easy after the fact.
How do I conduct class on an e-Learning Day?
Asynchronous work should be designed to take 75 minutes of time. This can be a combination of asynchronous instruction (e.g. screencast or other video) and related work.
You can choose to conduct virtual office hour sessions during school hours via Google Meet based on student requests, but students are not required to attend to be marked present.
Do I have to be online the entire day?
You should share your availability for e-Learning days with your students and in their Google Classrooms in conjunction with their schedule. For example, "On Friday, 1/12, I will be accessible via email during AM Support, Blocks 2, 6, and 8)".
Will the ETHS Day Care program be open?
No, the Day Care is closed on e-Learning days.
Am I required to hold AM Support?
No, but you should be available to answer questions via email from students between the hours of 8:00 and 3:30pm.
