Email - Teachers are encouraged to communicate with students via district email accounts.
TalkingPoints- Teachers can also choose to use TalkingPoints to communicate with students via text messaging. Teachers should not text message students directly via their mobile device number. TalkingPoints allows for messages to be exchanged between users without sharing phone numbers and all conversations are archived for later review.
Google Meet - Teachers are encouraged to utilize additional communication methods (audio/video conferencing) to engage with students. IIT recommends using Meet to create virtual meeting rooms and host students for live discussions, or hosting open office hours.

Jabber - Staff that frequently contact students and/or families as part of their daily workload may be interested in using the mobile app Jabber. When installed on a mobile device, Jabber allows staff members to make voice calls with others using their school phone number. To install Jabber, users must first request access via this form. You will be notified when your account has been created.
