Air Purifiers

We recommend placing air purifiers near the center of the room, which allows for even air intake and circulation throughout the room.

Air purifiers can be used 24/7. If you run the air purifier constantly (or at a higher fan speed), the filters may need to be changed more frequently. On the other hand, if you run the air purifier a few hours a day, the filters are likely to last longer.

Our air purifiers provide a 3-stage filtration system:
1. Pre-filter (filters large particles)
2. Main filter (filters smaller particles as small as 0.1 microns)
3. Carbon filter (reduces/removes smoke and odors)

We recommend cleaning the pre-filter every 2-4 weeks to help the main filter last longer. The pre-filter can be cleaned using a soft cloth, paper towel, or a vacuum brush to remove any visible dust.

Some indications the filter needs to be changed:
- Increased noise when the air purifier is on
- Decreased airflow
- Unusual odors
- A visibly clogged filter
*If you run the unit in a polluted environment, the filter may need to be changed more frequently.

Some air purifier features (available for some models):

The ARC formula stands for AirReComposition formula, which is integrated into the carbon filter. It chemically decomposes the unpleasant odors in the air; the components will not be released back into the atmosphere.

The PlasmaPro air purifiers break down pollutants' molecular structure by bonding the negative and positive ions with the pollutants. This process releases a very small and safe amount of ozone into the atmosphere. This is an optional feature, and it can be turned on/off.

Humidifiers

Difference between the types of humidifiers:
Evaporative Humidifiers: Visualize a fan propelling air through a moist wick filter, expediting water evaporation—this defines evaporative humidifiers. These cost-effective devices efficiently introduce moisture into your space, accommodating tap water. Some models, like the Superior 6000S, feature a Dry Mode, extending filter life.
Ultrasonic Humidifiers: Picture two small ceramic plates vibrating rapidly, creating a subtle, fine mist—this is how ultrasonic humidifiers work. Known for quiet operation, they operate beyond human hearing range, and they're cost-effective in the long-term as filters are optional and reusable.

Where to place the humidifier
We recommend placing the humidifier on a hard, flat surface. If it is on anything soft (such as carpet or a towel), the surface may absorb moisture and affect the accuracy of the sensor.
Place the humidifier at least 12 in / 30 cm away from any walls or furniture. If the humidifier is placed too close to any obstructions, the mist will accumulate and cause the sensor to read a higher humidity than normal.

What type of water should be used in a humidifier?
For best results, we recommend using distilled water in the humidifier. Customers may also use purified or tap water; this may require cleaning the product/replacing the water filter sponge/absorption pad more frequently, white dust output, and/or peeling of the transducer over time.

Models ending in "S" are WiFi-enabled and controllable via the VeSync app.

Humidifier Parts Explained

The installed water filter sponge is optional and helps catch minerals from hard water. Please note that as substances in the water oxidize, it is normal to observe some discoloration. The filter can last up to a month, depending on the quality of water and how often the humidifier is used. You can soak the filter in distilled white vinegar and then rinse it under warm water to clean it; or, you can opt to leave it out altogether. Cleaning the Humidifier

Distilled white vinegar, diluted with water (1:1 ratio)
3% hydrogen peroxide, diluted with water (1:1 ratio)
1 teaspoon of liquid chlorine bleach to 1 gallon of water

Instructions:

1. Fill the tank with 3 US cups / 710 mL of distilled white vinegar or alternative cleaning solution.

2. Replace the tank cover and swish the solution around the tank.

3. Place the tank on the base and soak for 15–20 minutes. The solution will drain into the base chamber and loosen scale (mineral buildup) in the tank and in the base chamber (including the transducer and float).

4. Carefully dump the solution from the tank and base, ensuring liquid does not flow into the air outlet.

5. If needed, use a soft cloth, the included cleaning brush, or a dish brush to remove scale from all parts

6. Thoroughly rinse all components of the humidifier (carefully avoiding the air outlet and power cord).

7. Pat base and tank dry, and allow to air dry for a day or two.
