There are days, more often than not, where I reflect and think: 'Whoa, I don't even remember everything that went on this day!?' We forget to pause, take a breath, and re-charge! We cannot pour from an empty cup, so it's invaluable to not only take care of ourselves for us, but for those around us too.
Here's something I have found very helpful in pressing that pause button in our busy days (I suggest doing this exercise every night, without distraction): I call it 3...2...1
Take something small, and make it bigger because we don't address our stressors before it's too late!
Maybe it's taking time to talk to a co-worker, friend, student or significant other. Learn something new, or just giving yourself two more minutes to take a deep breath and connect with yourself.
