ESU 5 Welcomes New Administrators

Andrew Havelka

My name is Andrew Havelka and I am excited and humbled to serve as the Superintendent for Freeman Public Schools. This will be my 19th year in education, most recently serving in the Omaha Public Schools. I taught high school math for eleven years and served as the varsity girls basketball coach at Omaha North High School for seven years. I spent the last seven years as an administrator at RM Marrs Magnet Center and McMillan Magnet Center, both middle schools in Omaha.

My wife Tiffanie and I have two beautiful children who are excited to be living in Adams and attending school at Freeman. Wesley is an 8th grader and Ila is a 4th grader.

My goal is to help Freeman students, staff, patrons and communities come together to create a shared vision of Freeman’s future. The Freeman staff will work to grow an inclusive and positive school culture for all students, define the Freeman graduate of tomorrow, and communicate our vision and goals. I truly believe Freeman Public Schools is a GREAT place for kids to learn their strengths and thrive!

FUN FACT: Andrew does not like to talk about himself; thankfully he submitted information for us!
