Music Appreciation is a semester-long, introduction to music course designed to provide the student an enriching musical education and to inspire an appreciation for music. The student will learn the fundamentals of basic music theory, explore different musical genres and their origins, learn about composers, careers in music, and how music has impacted and changed history. Students will explore composition and sounds on a variety of different instruments as they learn rhythmic notation and skills through hands-on activities.
