The Essex FFA Chapter was founded by Rebecka Sampers in 2022.
Mrs. Sampers agriculture classes learned about the incubation process for poultry and other birds. They even got to incubate duck eggs themselves!
More than 6,000 FFA members from across the state gathered to learn more about agriculture. These students got to participate and compete in various events at the Iowa FFA Leadership Conference in Ames. President Tony Racine accepted the chapter certificate on stage for our newly chartered chapter.
Officers Tony Racine, Lydia Edwards, Addy Resh, and Mariska Kirchert had the opportunity to represent Essex for the first time at the 96th National FFA Convention. During their time there, they were able to learn new skills explore careers in agriculture, and do so many more fun activities.
The Essex FFA chapter continues to be involved and encourages students to join every single day!
