A strong ambition in research, creation and innovation
The AI revolution proves once again that science transforms societies and human organizations, enhancing our physical and cognitive capabilities. We must steer this change, not suffer it, so that it makes us more insightful and creative while remaining true to our humanist values.
The Chair enables its students and partners to participate in understanding and designing this revolution, projecting us into the future of creation through its most experimental frontier in arts and culture. In doing so, our approach also shapes the future of management in the arts and creative and cultural industries sectors.
The new chair will conduct an ambitious research policy built around dialogue with artists and researchers, enabling the training of students ready for the transformation of managerial practices in cultural and creative sectors.
Convinced of the virtues of exchanges and knowledge-sharing with institutions and with the major players who drive the creative sector, this chair promotes a transdisciplinary approach, opening the way to new perspectives.
The program thus aspires to become a space for research and creation in management, in direct contact with the arts, particularly within the framework of artistic residencies at the forefront of new forms and technologies of creation: settings for meetings, reflection and collective creation. ESSEC also has the advantage of bringing together a community of researchers and alumni ready to support and enrich this unprecedented program.
Among the research themes, the Chair will initially address the following in connection with AI, but partner proposals will also guide the activity:
Explore the economic dynamics of creative markets in the AI era, including questions of value creation, intellectual property, and platform economics.
Analyze new business models and management practices in creative industries transformed by AI, particularly examining how to favor adoption via achieving balance between automation and human intervention.
Develop AI systems that foster diverse creative expressions while avoiding bias and ensuring equitable access to creative tools.
Study how artistic practices can guide AI design and how AI can expand artistic possibilities.
