Nomination procedure

Our nomination system is completely online (see dates and deadlines in the Academic Calendar page). 

Nominations to ESSEC Global BBA  are open twice a year :

For the Fall semester (August-December) - April 5th-30th (from Fall 2022)

For the Spring semester (February-June) - October 5th-30th

Note: We do not accept free-mover exchange students.

Process details

All coordinators from our partner universities receive detailed instructions for accessing our online platform at least 48 hours before the opening period. 

Once a nomination is submitted, the nominating coordinator automatically receives a confirmation notification.

Throughout the entire nomination process, partners can monitor their accounts and track any modifications they make.

After nomination (for Spring 2027 and beyond) 

Simplified process: 

• We are removing the application step for students.

• After the nomination period closes, all nominated students will directly have access to their acceptance letter (no application required). 

• Students will then proceed with:

1. Administrative enrollment  with the Registrar’s Office (instructions sent directly by the Registrar).

2. Housing application via Alegessec.

3. Course registration with the academic team.

Please reassure your students that everything is being handled smoothly, according to a specific timeline, and that there is no cause for concern.

Students Level Recommendations 

• Selection: We trust our partners’ selection process for the best-suited candidates to participate in the program and accept all students nominated by our partner universities. There is no specific minimum GPA requirement.

• Language Proficiency:

  1. At least a B2 level in English (according to CEFR scales) for courses taught in English.

  2. A B2 level in French is required only for students taking business classes in French.

Reminder: Courses are available in French or in English. Students can mix both options if they have the required level in each language. 

Note: We will NOT ask for supporting documents.

A short note about Acceptance Letters:

Confirmation of the nomination leads to the activation of the student's account and ESSEC ID (BID = B00... numbers). They will then have access to the MyEssec intranet platform. 

Students will be able to download there a digital copy of their official acceptance letter (in PDF). This electronic acceptance letter should suffice for visa application.

Kindly note that we’ll only provide hard copies when the local embassy or consulate requires it. Contact us if that’s the case.

Students with disabilities or special needs :

If you have students with special needs, please inform us at the time of nomination by email. For confidentiality purposes, details about the student's condition and the kind of support needed should be sent directly to the student nurse. 

Students will have the opportunity to contact the student nurse and the inclusion team to provide supporting documents during the administrative enrollment process. 

Extension of exchange period :

For already nominated students : 

If one of your students wishes to extend their stay from one semester to a full academic year—and you support this request—there is no need to submit a new nomination. Simply contact us in writing to inform us of the change, and we will update their study period accordingly.

Once confirmed, we will issue a revised acceptance letter reflecting their new exchange status.
