Dear Parents:
Welcome to the Eastport South Manor Central School District's Social-Emotional Learning website for students who are enrolled in kindergarten, first and second grade. On this site you will find a variety of information for parents as well as activities for students. These activities are intended to be fun and build social-emotional skills and coping skills. Coping strategies and mindfulness activities are also included under the activities tab for you and/or your child to practice as needed.
The 'Parent Information' tab contains a variety of information and resources that you may find useful. The information includes links to a variety of community resources, including mental health providers, local agencies that offer assistance with concrete needs, children's literature related to a variety of topics, parenting tips, etc.
A tab titled Child Safety is in the process of development and will contain information about lessons that your children are learning as part of the Erin's Law curriculum mandated in New York State. There will also be information about additional resources that you can access as a parent, for your child, and recommended activities that will provide practice opportunities for your child to reinforce the lessons provided in school.
Please feel free to reach out to either of us through our school e-mail or by phone. Have a wonderful school year.
Sincerely,
Yael Aboulafia (x3284) & Helen Gardella (x3101)
