This is for ALL members of the Blue Eagle Band. This includes Majorette, Color Guard, Percussion, Winds, etc.
Come having already eaten a breakfast, with all of your Music, Instrument, LUNCH, Sunscreen, Bug Spray, Hat, Sunglasses, Towel, Water bottle, Tennis Shoes (NO CROCKS, SANDALS, FLIP-FLOPS, SLIDES, ETC.), Rain Gear, and anything else you may need for a long and hot day of Music Rehearsals, Routine Practice, and marching rehearsals.
If you come on an empty stomach, you are at risk of passing out - so eat breakfast. Preferably avoid dairy, it doesn’t tend to go well in the heat. Avoid excessive sugar, and hydrate before-during-after camp. Salty Snacks and protein are suggested for during the day to keep energy levels high. DO NOT DRINK ENERGY DRINKS DURING THIS WEEK - the heat, strain, and demand of the weak do not mix well with high levels of caffeine and can be dangerous to your health.
Be sure to have proper Hygiene (Bathing and Deodorant). Sprays cannot be used inside the building or around doorways due to those with Asthma. (they can be sprayed away from others outside). Also be sure to get proper sleep in order to put in the maximum effort into our week.
