Descriptor: Children ages 5 through the summer after high school graduation, with and without disabilities, spend their days from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm enjoying traditional camp activities, modified for their individual needs. Imagine building independence and confidence while swimming in the onsite pool, fishing in our catch-and-release pond, and visiting our horse barn. More memories are created while playing sports and games in our large field or on our adapted basketball court, making crafts, and on nature hikes on our 52-acre campus. A maximum ratio of 1 staff for every 4 campers, with 1:1 aides possibly available for an additional cost. Financial assistance may be available for families who qualify. Descriptor: Our Sum Fun Day camp is a multi-week program for children ages 5-21 who qualify for services through their local county board of developmental disabilities. Sum Fun provides campers with fun, new, and unique opportunities in an outdoor setting. Campers engage in many exciting activities including swimming, hiking, crafts, challenge courses, archery, horseback riding, and more! Assistance with funding may be available for your camper, including individual assistance, as well as through the local county board of developmental disabilities and the Medicaid Waiver. Sum Fun is a perfect opportunity for children to continue to learn new skills, develop new friends, and create fun memories!

Descriptor: Camp Happiness operates Monday-Friday from 9:30 am -3:00 pm. Campers have the option to select specific weeks or attend the full six weeks. Transportation is available for those in Cuyahoga County.
Our campsite is located in Wickliffe, Ohio at the Center for Pastoral Leadership (CPL). Campers engage in social and recreational programming as well as skill enhancement in a naturalistic setting. Program highlights include swimming, community outings, art, music, and adaptive exercise.
Camp Happiness primarily serves individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Campers are individually assessed to determine appropriateness. Our staff-to- camper ratio is 1:2 -1:4. Waivers and Family Supports Program funding are accepted. Also, additional "camper-ships" may be available for those who demonstrate financial need.

Descriptor: The Cleveland Sight Center (CSC) Preschool hosts a half-day summer program for preschool-age children with a visual impairment as a primary or secondary disability. All activities address pre-academics, socialization, and communication skills. Therapies are delivered through play and stimulate the development of compensatory skills, such as pre-Braille, pre-mobility, and daily living skills. For children with multiple disabilities, we utilize the Active Learning philosophy using specifically designed equipment and instruction practices. Field trips, music therapy, and other attractions will be included. Snacks and drinks are provided by the program, lunch is provided by parents. The program can serve as ESY, and NEON funding is available for eligible families. Financial Assistance is made available if income-eligible and no other funding sources are obtainable.

Descriptor: Life Steps is an educational camp with a therapeutic component, and runs for 10 themed weeks from 9 am – 2 pm, Monday - Friday during the summer. Located on 38 acres of property at our Creative Therapy Ranch on Lake Road in Medina, this program is designed to meet the needs of children (ages 8 and up) and adults with cognitive and functional disabilities and to provide respite for their caregivers. Each week consists of structured, comprehensive, and continually supervised educational, social, recreational, and therapeutic activities that emphasize choice and are intended to meet our campers' needs.

YC staff are experts in adapting activities for maximum engagement. YC staff are also equipped to handle personal care needs.
