Descriptor: We customize programming based on each child's specific needs determined by assessments and input from parents, as well as outside evaluations. We embed programs into age-appropriate play using Errorless Learning techniques which creates more productive sessions. Every day it is demonstrated that children who enjoy learning have more success. In-home therapy is so effective because it allows kids and caregivers to learn in the comfort of their own homes. Social skills groups at our center provide social skills practice with peers. We work closely with the family to create generalization of skills in the child's everyday life. Descriptor: Our unique camp features the experience of two professionals – music therapy and speech therapy. This summer program is perfect for emerging communicators, using pictures, devices, and verbal approximations in a non-threatening environment filled with music. Our youngest group (ages 2.5-3) is a parent/child camp that meets for only 45 minutes/per day for one week. Children ages 3+ will sing, dance, and play instruments while working on communication skills of requesting items, choosing from 2-3 items, and participating in a musical ensemble. Descriptor: The goal of our Adaptive Dance Program is to mainstream our dancers into a traditional dance class. We have also partnered with the Medina County Board of Developmental Disabilities to create a Special Olympics Equestrian Program.
