Educator Externships

In June 2026, 31 educators participated in the five-day Educator Externship, connecting with 20 businesses and community partners as well as Lorain County JVS and Lorain County Community College. Through workplace visits and professional learning, participants explored regional career opportunities, workforce trends, education and training pathways, and the skills students will need to succeed in the future. The experience helped educators build stronger connections between classroom learning and the real-world careers available to students across Northeast Ohio.

Recognizing our Businesses

At the beginning of our final day, we recognized each business by presenting them with a certificate of recognition.  Our educators wrote on each certificate about how the experiences impacted them, and we placed the certificates in a frame so they could be displayed by the businesses.  Below is one sample of what was written to recognize the Cleveland Clinic Avon Hospital.
