Are you a K-12 teacher, a career tech certified teacher, a school counselor, principal, or curriculum developer? Enhance your knowledge and skills through the Lorain County Business Advisory Council's Educator Externship Program!

Join us for this engaging five-day experience. Participants will receive 3 graduate credits (PAID through the program) from Ashland University upon successful completion of the coursework. The graduate credits are included at no additional cost to you.

Dates: June 8, 9, 10, 11 and 16 (*Must attend all 5 days)

During this externship, you will:

• • Visit local businesses in healthcare, information technology, and manufacturing.

  • Gain firsthand insight into industry expectations and workforce needs.

  • Learn about cutting-edge technologies and industry practices.

  • Network and collaborate with fellow educators.

The $99 fee helps cover the cost of morning refreshments and lunch, which are provided each day.

Recognizing our Businesses

At the beginning of our final day, we recognized each business by presenting them with a certificate of recognition.  Our educators wrote on each certificate about how the experiences impacted them, and we placed the certificates in a frame so they could be displayed by the businesses.  Below is one sample of what was written to recognize the Cleveland Clinic Avon Hospital.
